Simplicity Edge Fire Bowl 40" x15" 5" lip, Dark Ebony

This project was a lot of fun to work on, as the homeowner came with 3D images of a standard bowl and sent me photos as the work progressed; the result was just beautiful.  

The Simplicity Edge Fire Bowl 40" x15" 5" lip in Dark Ebony is almost black. The burner was the Crossfire burner, which is all brass and can set up to 180K BTU. Inside the fire bowl, the homeowner chose extra-large pieces of lava rocks on top of smaller ones. 
As always, with Lava rocks, if the rocks are moist, a low setting should be used until the water evaporates to avoid them popping even outside of the fire bowl.
